In the center of the village, the house built in 1845 forms an ensemble with the church. Here lived the sexton, later a teacher. One room served as a classroom. From the 5th grade we went to school in Nackel. The classroom became a post office after the school closed (early 1960s). In the yard there is a deep well that supplied Barsikov with water until 1986. The school building is privately owned.

Additional information

In 1845, a massive schoolhouse was erected on the green in the village street, in which the clerk and later the teacher lived. One room served as a classroom for grades 1-4 until the school was closed in the early 1960s. From grade 5 the children attended the schools in Nackel, Dreetz, Dessow and Wildberg. The hygienic conditions were insufficient with an outside toilet. They were near the drinking water well.

The classroom became a post office after the school closed. The windows were barred.

A deep well was drilled in the yard, which supplied the entire community with water. The water quality left a lot to be desired. Since 1986 Barsikow has received drinking water from the waterworks in Dreetz.

The school building has been privatized for several years.
