The Search for the Gallows Hill
The search for the Galgenberg is still in progress - there must have been one, but the location is not known.
A possible location is the Gallberg on the road to Gartow - this is where the postal service once ran. The place of execution was often in sight on such roads. Here the cities proudly showed that they exercised jurisdiction - and of course the display was also intended to serve as a deterrent.
