Nackel - tour

A tour of Nackel is worthwhile. The village can be seen in its heyday around 1900, but the medieval round village can still be guessed at.

The village of Nackel has existed since at least the 14th century. The church also dates from this period, with modifications from the 18th and 19th centuries. From 1571 to 1784 the von Lüderitz and von Pfuhl families were the landowners in the village, then until 1935 the von der Hagen family. A report from 1774 describes the village with gabled, well-kept houses surrounding the church. From the middle of the 19th century, people became prosperous and today's village was created. Today's manor house was built in 1907-1907.

Some burials from the cemetery surrounding the church until 1818 were also found during excavations at the church. Whether and where the two women found their final resting place here is not known. There is nothing left of the wall where the two women might have been buried.

The new Nagels cemetery was laid out in 1818 and expanded in 1914. The Art Nouveau mortuary, built in 1913, is worth seeing. Another exciting story is connected with it - but we will tell it elsewhere.
