T'neeya was born Tania Takoh in Douala and grew up in Limbe, Cameroon. She is an Afro-R&B artist whose sound connects continents. With a Cameroonian father who filled the house with makossa and jazz, and a German mother who loved gospel, music became her second language at an early age. By 13, she was already writing songs at boarding school in Bamenda, transforming school desks into percussion instruments and creating melodies from scratch.
After moving to Berlin to study fashion design, T'neeya soon realized that music was her true calling and dropped out of school to devote herself to it full-time. Her art blends African rhythms, soulful R&B, and multilingual storytelling—in English, French, and beyond.
She has released several singles and projects, been nominated for an AFRIMA, featured on BBC playlists, appeared in the Netflix documentary "Afrobeat," and performed on international stages such as Afrochella (now Afrofuture), Afro Nation, and the Berlin African Food Festival. Her work has been featured by OkayAfrica, Apple Music, and radio stations across Africa and Europe.
A true polyglot and cultural bridge, T'neeya embodies the spirit of her homeland and the diaspora, using music to connect people from completely different worlds.
